A novel coronavirus ( SARS-CoV-2) was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in December of 2019. The SARS-CoV-2 has resulted in thousands of cases of lethal disease in the world, with additional patients being identified in a rapidly growing number internationally. Here, we list several current research of SARS-CoV-2 on the following table.
2019 Novel Coronavirus
On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization announced that the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was listed as Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC). So what exactly is the SARS-CoV-2? How does it spread? Where does SARS-CoV-2 come from? And how to treat it?
COVID-19 cytokine storm acturally refers to the cytokine storm caused by COVID-19. Some reports have revealed the direct cause of death from acute COVID-19 is that the novel coronavirus destroy the human immune mechanism and trigger excessive immunity causing cytokine storm.
What You Have to Know about Cytokine Storm and Virus Infection
On January 25, 2020, a research revealed that the immune system of critical patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 exists a lethal cytokine storm. So what is cytokine storm? Why does the virus cause cytokine storm and its mechanism? Is there any treatments of cykine storm?
SARS-CoV-2 was reported to share the same receptor, Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), with SARS-CoV. So what is ACE2? And how does SARS-CoV-2 invade human body via ACE2? Are there any other targets for SARS-CoV-2 invasion?
