How to Synthesize Quantum Dots?
Quantum dots (QDs) are semiconductor materials that have triggered scientists¡¯ great interest due to their unique optical properties. They are divided into two categories, including cadmium-based (e.g., CdTe, CdSe) and cadmium-free (e.g., InP, InAs, CuInS2, Ge, Si, ZnS, and graphene quantum dots) QDs. They have been widely used in solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LED), laser technology, and for biological and biomedical applications. In this brochure, we briefly introduce the different aspects of quantum dots, including their types, classification, and synthesis methods.
