However, not many recombinant transmembrane proteins are commercially available due to the difficulty of expressing and purifying transmembrane proteins.

Since established, 200 proteins have been successfully produced with a yield of mg/ml, which contains 99 transmembrane proteins (TPs) with 1-15 transmembrane domains and toxic proteins that are difficult to express in traditional E.coli __expression__ systems.
