Kerafast Lab Manager Contest
We recently ran a lab manager contest to highlight the amazing lab managers across the world who work so hard to support their teams. Winners were randomly selected, and we¡¯re happy to announce that Vir Sagar from Louisiana Tech University and Ilma Marçal (pictured) from Federal University of Minas Gerais both won a $1,000 gift card plus $250 for their lab! We interviewed both Vir and Ilma about their research careers and personal interests, both of which you can read on our blog. We love running these contests, so stayed tuned for more in the future.

Women in STEM – Highlighting our Providers
We are proud to have a community of women scientists working at our company and as our providers. February 11th was International Women in Science Day, and to celebrate we wanted to highlight some of our many women providers and the reagents they offer in our catalog.
MarathonRT Reverse Transcriptase - Dr. Pyle, Yale University
Retinal Cell Lines - Dr. Siegel, University of Rochester
DCP-Bio1 - Dr. Poole, Wake Forest University
Microglial Cell Line - Dr. Nagamoto-Combs, University of North Dakota
Bone Cell Lines - Dr. Bonewald, University of Missouri, Kansas City

AUTM Conference
In February, we attended the Annual AUTM Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. We value the chance to have one-on-one meetings with new and existing providing institution partners, to discuss our model for facilitating access to research tools. Our mission is to make laboratory-made reagents easily accessible to the global scientific community. We encourage all investigators to add reagents to our platform, where the materials can quickly be accessed by researchers worldwide. Contact us today to learn more about how to contribute your reagents.

New Publications Citing Our Reagents
We are always excited to see research publications which cite our Kerafast reagents. Recently we featured two studies on our blog. The first study used our LOBSTR E. Coli __Expression__ Strain, from MIT, to explore the structure of human RNA Polymerase I. The second study used our DNA/RNA Hybrid [S9.6] Antibody, from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases/NIH, when looking at the role of chromatin and DNA damage in neurodegenerative disorders. If you¡¯ve used any of our reagents in your own research, contact us so we can feature your publication!

Featured Lab
Jeffrey A. Yoder, PhD, North Carolina State University
The Yoder lab research focuses on comparative immunology using zebrafish as a primary animal model for immunity and infection research. Their current research interests include conserved innate immune response genes, immunotoxicology and multigene families of Ig domain-containing innate immune receptors. We offer Zebrafish Novel Immune-Type Receptor 9 (Nitr9) Antibodies in our catalog from the Yoder lab which can be used for immunofluorescence, western blot and flow cytometry applications.
